In honor of baseball season starting we had a baseball week in first grade recently. We read Cam Jansen and the Babe Ruth Mystery, made baseball cookies, and made a baseball craftivity writing.

'oo' week in spelling!

                                           

Spelling and phonics is one of my favorite things to teach. There are so many good ideas out there to get the kids excited about spelling.

We wrote our 'oo' spelling words on the outside of the glasses.

We also made 'oo' words with "Froot Loops" and then tasted them.
